In the Caldragh Cemetery
cemetery at the west end of the Island there are two ancient stone Janus
(looking both ways. Also may be from the Roman god Janus 'Keeper of the
gate' from which we get January) idols, their origin is not known they
have been likened to the statues on Easter island in the Pacific, it is
thought they date from the first century.

five star chalet accommodation for about 159, most have three bedrooms
and two bathrooms, a kitchen and a sitting dining room The chalets are
Scandinavian in style, most are situated on the lake shore. There is a
ferry which runs on demand from 8 am until midnight, the journey takes
only a few minutes.
